Dreams, pain and appointments...Oh, my!

Yesterday was just a "warm up" I guess. Thank goodness I have an OB appointment today at 2:30. I can tell my doc all about yesterday's "fun".

Also, I dreamed about our son moving in my belly last night. When I woke up for the 5th trip to the potty, he was moving, just like in my dream. It was kinda neat.

I'll update everyone on whatever my doc says at my appointment today. I'll also post the last sonogram pic of Baby Moose. (We're both so excited!!!!!!!! :D)

False Alarm?

I've started having cramps. They remind me of mild menstrual cramps. They're not lasting long, but I called my mom and Mr. Moose anyway.

Is it finally time?

Gosh, I'm so ready for my son to come into this world. I so dread the pain, though.

I'm feeling *anxious*

anx-ious

1.
full of mental distress or uneasiness because of fear unknown circumstances; greatly worried; solicitous
2.
earnestly desirous; eager (usually fol. by an infinitive or for): anxious to please; anxious for our happiness.
3.
attended with or showing solicitude or uneasiness: anxious forebodings.

Yep...that pretty much sums up my state of mind lately. I'm so ANXIOUS for the birth of our baby boy.

Geesh.... he could come at anytime now. I sure hope I do well.
Mr. Moose has and continues to be a saint throughout my "moments of weakness". Gosh, I sure do love him. He is so patient, kind and understanding.

What's with that thing in the corner?

Yesterday, I purchased a plastic storage unit for Baby Moose's nursery. It has three drawers and a wide top. It holds onesies, socks, caps, mittens, pants and t-shirts. It will be so convient, I think. Because our son has literally TONS of clothes. His closet is now full, no joke.

My Daddy helped me carry it upstairs yesterday into Baby Moose's nursery. (I don't think falling down our stairwell would have been a good idea!)

I hope for and anticipate it's convience. It will do until we are able to purchase him a chest of drawers, later. It even matches! (It's white....how could it not?)

Thank you, again, Daddy! I couldn't have done it without you. :)

I hope everyone's Friday and weekend are pleasant and restful.

OH! And By The Way, GO BAMA!!!!!!!!!

Work Baby Shower

Yesterday, at 3:00, Mr. Moose's co-workers threw us a baby shower for our son.

We received clothes, diapers, books, bibs, hoodies, onesies, toys, gift cards, money and a bassinet. There is another man and his wife who are expecting their first child, a daughter, in January. So we had a co-shower. Baby Moose is so spoiled, already!

It was so nice. There were pink and blue decorations everywhere. We had cake, fruit, cheese/crackers, nuts, mints and punch. It was so sweet, literally!

I never knew Mr. Moose had such a positive and wonderful impact at his job. (What am I saying? He's great no matter where he is!)

It was wonderful and despite having a migraine yesterday morning, it was so much fun.

Thanks, so much, to everyone at the State Department!!!

Baby Moose "Side Effects"

I read somewhere last night that my abdomen will feel hard sometimes. My tummy feels "Hard" most of the time, now. This is the hardest my abs have ever been! :)

Also, my friend Monica told me how all of my internal organs have shifted. She's right. I have a tough time breathing now and I can no longer eat large meals. I'm eating smaller, more frequently now.

And I'm not even going into the constant urination I'm experiencing. Night and day, now. Urgggghh!

You know, I have always wanted to be a Mommy. It's a dream I've had it seems like FOREVER! No one ever told me how miserable I'd feel here at the end, however. I'm just ready for our son to make his grand appearance. I know I'll miss him when he's out, though. I guess I'll never be satisfied.

Does feeling this way make me a bad person?

Baby Babble

I can hardly believe Mr. Moose and I are 36 weeks pregnant. I'm actually going to be a Mommy! Can you believe it?!?! The time has just flown by and now I'm kinda dreading loosing my "little visitor".

Last night we practiced some Lamaze techniques in the livingroom floor. This morning, I looked on my calender and we only have, like 3 weeks and a few days until Baby Moose's due date. The thing is, he could conceivably come at anytime now. That's kind of surreal to me, you know?

I need to make a list of folks to call when I go into labor, finish our birthing plan, pack the remaining items in our "birth bag" and get things ready for my son's arrival. Gosh! I need to get on the ball!

What a strange, wonderful, surreal trip it's been.
