The Next Time.....

The next time I post here, I will be a Mommy. Mr. Moose will be a Daddy and our baby, Miss Moosey Kitty will be jealous of our newest addition.

This seems so surreal to me.

Our induction is scheduled for 3:00 tomorrow afternoon.

Like my father told me on the phone tonight, if all goes well, our son will be here this time Tuesday. Wow! What a strange, mixed up feeling I have right now. It's hard to describe. Anxious, scared, happy, overjoyed, tentative, surreal, etc. All rolled into one.

By the way, I really have no idea when I will be posting again. We go in to the hospital tomorrow, I'll give birth Tuesday (HOPEFULLY!) and will be discharged Thursday (if all goes well). Rest assured, I will get back as soon as I can.

Everyone's prayers are very much felt and appreciated!

I feel indescribable. (As does Mr. Moose, my family and loved ones).

YAY!!!!!!!!!!

An Unforgettable Night

Last night was horrible and lasted entirely too long!

It started at about 9:00 and ended at about 6:00 this morning or so. I had cramps (every 45 minutes to an hour), vomiting, back pain and general "discomfort" all over.

Mr. Moose was wonderful. He massaged me, coached and cheered me on, emptied my pail and was a tremendous support. Just what did I do to become so blessed, having such a supportive, selfless hubby?

He even stayed home with me today so I wouldn't have to face the misery alone. We're both sleep-deprived, but excited Baby Moose is on his way. As of now, I've only had 4 spells. That's good, right?

Daddy Moose has gone into "nesting" mode, too. He's setting up gadgets, organizing, vacuuming, etc. I feel like a freak-o not helping, but I'm just no longer able to since I have no energy at all right now.

I pray tonight won't be so hard on my wonderful hubby. Maybe I'll be able to rest (& him, too). Something tells me otherwise. Oh, well. At least the car is all ready to go, packed to capacity with car seats, labor bags and what have you.

Is it REALLY going to happen in a matter of days? Wow!

The Final Countdown.....

Are Mr. Moose and I REALLY going to be parents in 6 days? I guess so.

It sounds so surreal. I was talking with my sister and she and I both cannot "get our heads around" the fact that the little guy inside my tummy will one day be able to vote, drive a car, date, join the service, etc. It seems so foreign to me.

Mr. Moose and I toured the LDR and Recovery Rooms at the hospital where Baby Moose will be born. I guess doing that made the entire process (along with my 100% perfect last check-up yesterday) seem real and not a distant time in the future.

I also had a migraine this morning at about 4:00 a.m. That's why I didn't post this morning. I'm still a little "hung over". Baby Moose is worth it all, though. Just knowing we'll be able to meet him soon makes everything wonderful.

I am soooooooooooooooo excited!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :)

Bah...Humbug!

Well, we have one week today until they induce my labor. Tonight, Mr. Moose and I are touring the Labor and Delivery ward at the hospital where Baby Moose will be born. I'm REALLY excited!

Friday night, we celebrated my father's birthday. He got clothes, a grill and a $50 gift card to Lowe's. We celebrated at my sister's house. It was lots of fun. YAY!

Saturday, my parents came up to our house and helped Mr. Moose install our new ceiling fan in the kitchen. I cramped several times, but nothing came of it. Saturday night my parents saw ASF's presentation of "A Christmas Carol: The Musical". They told me they really enjoyed it.

Yesterday, I layed around the house and cramped some more, to no avail. In the afternoon, we went to Best Buy and got a new stove and clothes dryer. They decided to go on the fritz right now, when we already have to much on our plates.

Isn't it always the way?

Let's see what all we have going on right now: We're giving birth in a week, Christmas is less than 2 weeks away and since I'm not able to, no presents have been bought AT ALL!, we have 3 b-days this month, Mr. Moose's family is getting together the Saturday before I'm induced Monday, my sister-in-law is having surgery Friday, we're not going to be able to celebrate Christmas properly because we'll be in the hospital, Mr. Moose's raise has been taken away because of Proration in the Education Department in our state and the pressure on my "girl stuff" is almost unbearable.

I'm full of something, but I'm afraid Christmas spirit isn't it this year. Bah Humbug!

I certainly hope everyone else is feeling okay. (I feel better now, since I've vented. Thanks!)

Say CHEESE!

Here is Baby Moose's last sonogram "head shot". We got it Wednesday and since I'm a lazy slob, I haven't scanned them all in until a little bit ago. (Plus, I had a migraine headache at about 8:15 this morning, too.)

ENJOY!

Does size REALLY matter?

I had a friend tell me, via email, that my posts on this blog are to short. The thing is, my journals, diaries and such have always been full of short daily tidbits.

I rarely write very much when sharing news or what have you.

I hope stopping by and reading my quick posts aren't a hassle or "not worth it".

Something tells me after my son is born, on the 23rd!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!, I'll be lucky to have the opportunity to post at all.

What do you think?

Also, my Daddy's birthday is Sunday. We're celebrating with him tonight. I hope his birthday is fun and memorable this year.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY, DADDY-LOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hope everyone's weekend is fun & safe! Take care, all!

"Induction" Info

Mr. Moose and I went to my OB appointment yesterday. We had our last sonogram of our son. He is soooooooooooo handsome, just like his daddy!

He already weighs 7 lbs. and 11 oz. He is totally normal and even has a little pot belly (like his Mommy always has). He is such a sweetie.

After the sonogram, we had our appointment. We were given some news we were totally NOT expecting.
My doctor told us he wants to induce my labor for a number of reasons:

1) If Baby Moose gets much bigger, he won't fit through my pelvis so a Cesarean section might be needed. (I want to avoid this if at all possible.)

2) My doctor will be out of town during my scheduled due date. (I want him to deliver our son!)

3) It's best for our health (the baby and I) That's all we needed to hear.

We plan on going to the hospital Monday, December 22 to be induced. This means our son will arrive December 23. We will be discharged Christmas afternoon. So much for our "traditional" Christmas, but I think we have a great excuse.

We have 11 days and that seems like plenty of time until I look around and see things that need to be done.

Gosh! We're soooooooooooo excited! Yay!!!!!!!!!

(BTW, my signature won't load AGAIN! What's the deal-i-o?)

Dreams, pain and appointments...Oh, my!

Yesterday was just a "warm up" I guess. Thank goodness I have an OB appointment today at 2:30. I can tell my doc all about yesterday's "fun".

Also, I dreamed about our son moving in my belly last night. When I woke up for the 5th trip to the potty, he was moving, just like in my dream. It was kinda neat.

I'll update everyone on whatever my doc says at my appointment today. I'll also post the last sonogram pic of Baby Moose. (We're both so excited!!!!!!!! :D)

False Alarm?

I've started having cramps. They remind me of mild menstrual cramps. They're not lasting long, but I called my mom and Mr. Moose anyway.

Is it finally time?

Gosh, I'm so ready for my son to come into this world. I so dread the pain, though.

I'm feeling *anxious*

anx-ious

1.
full of mental distress or uneasiness because of fear unknown circumstances; greatly worried; solicitous
2.
earnestly desirous; eager (usually fol. by an infinitive or for): anxious to please; anxious for our happiness.
3.
attended with or showing solicitude or uneasiness: anxious forebodings.

Yep...that pretty much sums up my state of mind lately. I'm so ANXIOUS for the birth of our baby boy.

Geesh.... he could come at anytime now. I sure hope I do well.
Mr. Moose has and continues to be a saint throughout my "moments of weakness". Gosh, I sure do love him. He is so patient, kind and understanding.

What's with that thing in the corner?

Yesterday, I purchased a plastic storage unit for Baby Moose's nursery. It has three drawers and a wide top. It holds onesies, socks, caps, mittens, pants and t-shirts. It will be so convient, I think. Because our son has literally TONS of clothes. His closet is now full, no joke.

My Daddy helped me carry it upstairs yesterday into Baby Moose's nursery. (I don't think falling down our stairwell would have been a good idea!)

I hope for and anticipate it's convience. It will do until we are able to purchase him a chest of drawers, later. It even matches! (It's white....how could it not?)

Thank you, again, Daddy! I couldn't have done it without you. :)

I hope everyone's Friday and weekend are pleasant and restful.

OH! And By The Way, GO BAMA!!!!!!!!!

Work Baby Shower

Yesterday, at 3:00, Mr. Moose's co-workers threw us a baby shower for our son.

We received clothes, diapers, books, bibs, hoodies, onesies, toys, gift cards, money and a bassinet. There is another man and his wife who are expecting their first child, a daughter, in January. So we had a co-shower. Baby Moose is so spoiled, already!

It was so nice. There were pink and blue decorations everywhere. We had cake, fruit, cheese/crackers, nuts, mints and punch. It was so sweet, literally!

I never knew Mr. Moose had such a positive and wonderful impact at his job. (What am I saying? He's great no matter where he is!)

It was wonderful and despite having a migraine yesterday morning, it was so much fun.

Thanks, so much, to everyone at the State Department!!!

Baby Moose "Side Effects"

I read somewhere last night that my abdomen will feel hard sometimes. My tummy feels "Hard" most of the time, now. This is the hardest my abs have ever been! :)

Also, my friend Monica told me how all of my internal organs have shifted. She's right. I have a tough time breathing now and I can no longer eat large meals. I'm eating smaller, more frequently now.

And I'm not even going into the constant urination I'm experiencing. Night and day, now. Urgggghh!

You know, I have always wanted to be a Mommy. It's a dream I've had it seems like FOREVER! No one ever told me how miserable I'd feel here at the end, however. I'm just ready for our son to make his grand appearance. I know I'll miss him when he's out, though. I guess I'll never be satisfied.

Does feeling this way make me a bad person?

Baby Babble

I can hardly believe Mr. Moose and I are 36 weeks pregnant. I'm actually going to be a Mommy! Can you believe it?!?! The time has just flown by and now I'm kinda dreading loosing my "little visitor".

Last night we practiced some Lamaze techniques in the livingroom floor. This morning, I looked on my calender and we only have, like 3 weeks and a few days until Baby Moose's due date. The thing is, he could conceivably come at anytime now. That's kind of surreal to me, you know?

I need to make a list of folks to call when I go into labor, finish our birthing plan, pack the remaining items in our "birth bag" and get things ready for my son's arrival. Gosh! I need to get on the ball!

What a strange, wonderful, surreal trip it's been.

My new signature

What do you think of my new signature? I changed the color to red because it's one of my favorite colors.

Roll Tide!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Can all the Auburn fans say shutout?
36-0
Go, BAMA!
(Yeah, I'm a tiny bit happy. Okay, more than a tiny bit!)

Happy Thanksgiving, Everyone!

Thanksgiving, or Thanksgiving Day, celebrated on the fourth Thursday in November, at the end of the harvest season, is an annual American Federal holiday to express thanks for one's material and spiritual possessions.
Most people celebrate by gathering at home with family or friends for a holiday feast. Though the holiday's origins can be traced to
harvest festivals which have been celebrated in many cultures since ancient times, the American holiday has religious undertones related to the deliverance of the English settlers by Native Americans after the brutal winter at Plymouth, Massachusetts.
The period from Thanksgiving Day to
New Year's Day often is called the holiday season.

Appointment Update

I got back from my obstetrician's appointment about an hour ago.
My doctor said everything is looking perfect and that my frequent urination is one of the "side effects" of late pregnancy.....Oh, joy! No rest for me, it looks like....
Next week, I begin weekly visits since I only have about 4 weeks left.
A sonogram has also been scheduled for December 10th. I'm happy to be able to see my son's face in utero for the last time.
Mr. Moose and I are so blessed to have a happy, healthy son on the way. Also, all the support we've been given is AWESOME! I never knew just how blessed we really, truly are.
God is Amazing!!!

Irritated Mrs. Moose

Well, I'm really "ticked off"!
The blog signature situation is really irritating the poopie outta me. I have tried to copy and paste from Word. I have attempted to go onto the live signature website, only to have this computer lock up.
I suppose I'm now destined to no longer have a signature anymore.
Any suggestions, out there?

Just in time for the Iron Bowl/Christmas

My bff, MONICA, has displayed some new pics of her jewelry on her blog.
Check them out HERE

It's Off To The Doc I Go....

Well, I have my last two-week appointment with my baby doctor today.

It's a good thing, too, because the pressure and Braxton Hicks I'm feeling really suck. Not to mention urinating every 30 to 45 minutes, back pain, headaches and general fatigue. Quite frankly, I'm beginning to feel miserable.

I'll update everyone on my status a bit later.

Ciao for Now! (<--my new favorite line. Can you tell?)

New Blog Title

After Baby Moose arrives, I will need to change the title of this blog. He'll no longer be "in the belly", you know?

I'm considering "A Baby Outta The Belly".

What ya think?

Hopefully it won't be to long until he comes. We're keeping our fingers (and toes) crossed!

Blog Signature: AWOL

Well, my "signature" still isn't working.

I'm considering making a new one in Word and using it.

SO Irritating!

Weekend Wrap-Up

HI!
I hope everyone's weekend was restful and pleasant. Ours was.
Friday, I went to the doc, had lunch with my Daddy and gave my friend MONICA some items for Baby Moose. She and her hubby are honorary Aunt & Uncle to our son, so I gave her some things for when he crashes with them! (Ain't I a nice gal? :D)
Friday night, Mr. Moose and I had dinner out. We rarely dine out so it was a wonderful treat. YAY!!!!!!!!!!!
Saturday, Mr. Moose and I bought some groceries. He then went down to his mother's house and primed her ceilings for painting. He plans on painting them within the next little bit of time. I didn't go with him because paint fumes are dangerous for the unborn. Plus, 6 hours of sitting outside in the middle of November truly didn't appeal to me. :D
My mom came up with my dad (who had to make up some time at work). She straightened my house, put away my plants and vacuumed. Our house looks absolutely amazing now. I cannot believe how hard she worked or how bad the place had gotten. I'm just not able to do ANYTHING anymore. Thank GOD for my wonderful, helpful mother. I don't know what we'd do without her or my father.
My daddy put my glide rocker, I got for my birthday, together for me, also. It is sooooooooooooo comfy. I plan on using it while nursing Baby Moose and for just reclining. I never knew how comfortable they are. (Yes I did! :D) AWESOMENESS!
THANK YOU SO MUCH, MOM & DAD!!!
Sunday, Mr. Moose and I went and visited my parent's church. They had their Thanksgiving potluck lunch, so you know I was happy! After gorging on homemade fare, we visited Mr. Moose's mother and his sister stopped by as well. We stayed with her for a bit and then went home.
I am so sleepy here lately. I nap all the time! Mr. Moose has told me to rest all I can because I am going to need the energy when I have our son. He is the best hubby/daddy. I can hardly wait to see him with our son..... :D
The pressure of Baby Moose has become much more noticable here lately. I'm also having frequent Braxton Hicks contractions. To be honest, I'm a little miserable, but it's worth it for Baby Moose. As I've said before, he is worth EVERYTHING!!!!!!!!!!
Hope you all have a good Monday and that Thursday is great also. (Don't eat too much....I know I will! :D )
Ciao for Now!
(My blog signature still won't work! Irritation...MUCH!)

Mrs. Moose?

My blog signature isn't working. I guess it's having a case of the Mondays.

Oh, well.

Appointment Update...a little late

I just wanted to let everyone know my neurological appointment went okay. My doctor refilled my prescription and that was about it.

I waited for 45 minutes to have him come in for less than 5. What's THAT all about? Why are ALL doctors like that?

Anywho....

Friday, November 21, 2008

Check-Up

I have a neurology check-up in a bit.

Here's hoping all goes well!

I'll update you on my prognosis a little later.

Ill-A-Moose

Gosh, I'm tired and ill today. I don't even want to be around myself!

I got up and went to the potty 12 times last night. I've limited my fluid intake after 7:30 p.m., but that does not help!

I get Braxton Hicks contractions irregularly, I also get leg cramps, I can barely roll over in the bed, I keep a headache, I'm starving ALL THE TIME!, my back has broken out in little bumps and itches constantly, my balance has all but disappeared AND I feel like a blimp.

Funny, I didn't know being preggie made one's life so "crap"tacular. It's definitely worth it, though.

Baby Moose is worth EVERYTHING!

Now go have a wonderful hump day, 'cos I said so! (I'm going to go cry a little now.)

Tuesday, November 18, 2008

Where have you been?

I'm so sorry I am so late posting.

I started having
Braxton Hicks contractions yesterday and have not felt like getting on the computer. I've sat in a warm bath, rubbed some Vick's vaporub on my tummy and have taken some Tylenol. (All advised to me by my obstetrical nurse) I'm feeling a smidge better so I thought I'd do some work here on the computer.
Mr. Moose and I had our baby shower for Baby Moose on Saturday. My mother, father and sister worked their hineys off decorating, sending out invitations and purchasing food. It was a great success and we both had a blast!
My Daddy even made a homemade frame for the Winnie the Pooh painting my mother painted for Baby Moose. They match the nursery perfectly! My sister knitted a blankie for Baby Moose that also matches his nursery. They all worked so hard and I felt so happy and grateful. I know Mr. Moose did too.
We had 47 guests at our baby shower. We received TONS of gifts from everyone. Diapers, wet wipes. clothes, toys, safety items, bibs, blankets, photo albums. You name it, we got it! I never knew we were so loved by everyone. It was an overwhelming feeling.
My bff Monica stayed and helped my family clean up after the shower. She then took me home. My mom told her she should have had her because she was one of her girls, too. That made me so happy.
BTW, Monica's selling some of her handmade jewelry online now. Check out her blog either in my sidebar or HERE.
As for the weekend, Friday, I slept all day....(I'm so tired here lately), Saturday was our baby shower and Sunday was church and laundry day (<---JOY!)
Oh, and some sad news. My grandmother's sister, Edsel, passed away Saturday. Please pray for her family's strength during their time of grief. She was 80 something so she had a long, full life. Still, it has to be tough losing a dear family member.
Also, I'm considering deleting my food/recipe blog. What do ya'll think?
Ciao for Now!

Friday, November 14, 2008

What's up, Doc?

I haven't posted in the last few days because there has been a problem with our cable modem.

It's cool now....thank goodness!

Have a great weekend, all!

Happy Veterans Day!

God bless all of our servicemen and women.

We owe our way of life to each and every one of you!

Creative Moose

I am planning on making a collage of Baby Moose's sonogram pics to hang in our living room.

I am also planning on painting some wooden letters that spell his name. I'd like to hang them on his bedroom door.

I guess I'll be a "creative" moose today.

*Smile* everyone!

Appointment Update

Just wanted to let everyone know that today's baby appointment went perfect!

Baby Moose's heartbeat is 130 bpm and he weighs about 4.8 lbs. now.

I've also lost a pound since last time. (What's that about? Go figure!!)

We also saw a friend of Mr. Moose's in the parking lot. He and his wife had a miscarriage about 18 months ago. They're trying again and are taking all precautions this time around.
Please pray for them. They are such sweet, kind folks. I'm sure they'll be excellent parents.

See everyone tomorrow!

Ciao for now!

Baby Pics

BTW, check out my friend LYNDA'S blog.

She's posted some pics of her daughter, my girl, Lily Jean.

SWEETNESSS!

Weekend Update with Mrs. Moose

I had a grrrrrrrrrrrreat weekend! (al la Tony the Tiger!)

Friday, Mr. Moose brought home a bag full of baby items one of his co-workers gave to us. There were bibs, toys, linens, blankets, onesies, socks and caps inside. The lady who gave us this stuff was only met by moi once. I washed and hung up Baby Mooses's loot Saturday afternoon. It was such a pleasant, wonderful surprise!

Thank you, Ms. MaryLou!!!!!!!!!!!!

Friday night, Mr. Moose and I went to our local gaming shop and he played in a pre-tournament and "play tested". It was nice watching him have fun.

Saturday, Mr. Moose played in a Magic: The Gathering tournament, the Alabama State Tournament to be exact. I went with him for a bit, then had lunch with our pal Craig. Mr. Moose didn't win, but I think he had a good time playing. AWESOME!

We then came home and watched the Alabama Crimson Tide football game. Thankfully, we pulled out a victory in overtime, no thanks to our punter, Leigh Tiffin. (And my Indianapolis Colts beat the Pittsburgh Steelers, too. YAY!!!!!!!!!)

Sunday we had lunch at our friends, The Ronish's. We had taco salads, cheesecake and an orange smoothie our friend Joey concocted. YUM!

We were also given our birthday gifts. I received a lovely drawing of Jim Morrison, a handmade jewelry set, some diapers for our son and a baby carrier. (Along with some beautimous cards). We watched "National Treasure" and hung out. It was such a great time! I so enjoy being with my friends. They truly make life worth living.

I Love You Guys!

Today, I have a baby doctor's appointment. Nothing to complain about, other than my leg cramps. Hopefully, everything will still look okay. (I'll let ya know tomorrow!)

Well, I guess that's it. I'm spending this week preparing for our baby shower Saturday. I'm sooooooooooooo excited! I plan on making up a collage of sonogram pics to display at the shower. What do you think?

Hope everyone's week is splendid. *Smile*

Friday, November 7, 2008

TGIF! Finally!

Well, not much going on right now for us.

Baby Moose kicked up a bunch this morning when I first woke up. He's getting so strong now. Sometimes I wish he'd settle down. My mom says I'll miss it once he's born. I know she's right. The thing is, I enjoy breathing and not having my ribs and/or pelvis pumbled at all times! :D

I purchased some thank you cards for next week's shower. They're very plain but elegant, I think. I will try to work on them the week after the shower. Something tells me I'll have a ton to do. YAY! :D

My mom addressed the envelopes in calligraphy yesterday morning. She also mailed them off. They invited 65 ladies! Talk about a huge shower! WOW!

Let's see.....Mr. Moose and I are having lunch with our friends, The Ronish's, Sunday. Taco salads coming our way. YES!

Well, like I said, not much to ramble about today. If anything interesting and/or exciting happens, I'll fill you in.

Happy Weekend, all!

Answered Prayers & Invitations

I thank God daily for His answering of my prayers.
Last night, Mr. Moose purchased 2 DVD's online for us. They cover child birthing techniques (Lamaze and relaxation), first aid and bringing home newborns. I was planning on pulling all of the hair on my head out, but thankfully, that was nipped in the bud! :D
An added bonus to this was pointed out by my bff, Monica, yesterday. No gas will need to be used in the privacy of our own home. Also, any information that we need to have re-explained, can be easily accessed via our DVD player. No dressing up or rushing about to attend classes. Practice can be accompanied by instruction. Benefits galore! Also, if anyone wants to view the first aid or child care DVD's, we'll have 'em and can all be on the same page. SWEET!
Also, my mom showed me the invitations my sissy made to send out for Baby Moose's shower (on November 15th). They're darling! Light blue with a black font and an adorable plaid bow at the top. I've been promised one for my son's scrapbook. After I receive it, scan it in and take away all the distinguishing info, I'll post a pic of it here. I'm so EXCITED!!!!!
Also, we're having a hot spell here in Mooseville. 78 degrees in November. What's the deal-i-o?
Oh, well.
Hope everyone's day has been going well. Tomorrow's Friday! YAY!
See you guys lata.

Hump Day Rambles

Mr. Moose told me yesterday that the pharmacy in our grocery store is closed.

Now I have to go to one of those national chains. I dislike this because I had really gotten to know our pharmacist....BUMMER! (Plus, those national chains take FOREVER to re-fill a prescription.)

Also, I got a call from the hospital where I'll be giving birth to our son next month. I was informed that the child-birthing class I signed up for and paid for (4 months ago!) is not accepting my husband and I. Now I am scrambling around trying to sign up for some new child-birthing classes. Any suggestions? I've tried the other hospitals in town all to no avail. It really sucks!

I am determined to stay positive, however. God will provide. I have no doubt! (Just say a little prayer for us, if you don't mind!)

Happy "Hump" Day, all!

Rambles From Mrs. Moose

Well, today's the day. Election Day.

I will be sooooo happy when all the negative political ads stop and we can watch t.v. without having to have 5 or 6 negatives ads in a row.

This morning, our polling place was swamped with over 150 voters. It's so wonderful and amazing that citizens of our country care about politics this time. I've ALWAYS voted (since so many women fought so I'd have the right). It's so great to know others are so jazzed up about it this year, too.

I talked with my sissy yesterday. She took a personal day off from her teaching job. She worked on and mailed our son's shower invitations yesterday. I asked for one to put in his baby book. I'm soooooo excited, anxious, etc. YAY!

I also heard from my friend, LYNDA yesterday. She, her hubby and their new daughter are doing wonderfully! I plan on sending her a "sling" within the week. She needs one and I know where to purchase one for them at a good price.

I plan on surfing around and finding some thank you notes online for Baby Moose's shower today. I want to go ahead and get them so my guests can fill out their correct addresses at my baby shower. I only have a couple of weeks. I need to get on the ball!

Well, that's all for now.

Hope everyone's Tuesday is great today!

Don't forget to vote! :D

Monday, November 3, 2008

FYI

Oh! I forgot to say.....

Hooper Academy won thier homecoming Friday! The dance Saturday was a blast (so I've been told...) and now my sissy's all worn out.

Bless her sweet heart. She worked so hard and it was a tremendous success. I am soooooooooooo proud of her.

YAY!!!!!

Weekend Wrap-Up

I had a very restful, fine weekend.

Friday, Mr. Moose and I had dinner at Ryan's. Then, we came home, watched t.v. and hoped for some trick-or-treaters. (We had 0!)

Saturday, we did some chores, Mr. Moose went to a card tournament and we had dinner out with friends for Mr. Moose's birthday.

Yesterday was my hubby's birthday. We tidied up a bit and had lunch with my family at Mr. Mooses's favorite Mexican restaurant. I baked him a yellow cake with chocolate icing. He said all the candles could be seen from space! He asked for and got money as his b-day gifts.

THANKS EVERYONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yesterday afternoon, we purchased 8 packages of diapers for our son. Hopefully, he will get some use out of these. (They were on sale. Buy One Get One Free! And, as everyone knows, one can never have too many diapers!)

My Indianapolis Colts defeated the New England Patriots last night, too! YAY!!!!!!!!!!!

Overall, this weekend was very relaxing and fun. I wish they were all this way, don't you?
Happy Week Everyone and don't forget to VOTE tomorrow!

Birthday Wishes

Happy Birthday, Mr. Moose!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I love You So Much!

It's Friiiiiiday!

Today, I will be judging the Homecoming displays at my sissy's high school, Hooper Academy. She is the Student Government sponsor and asked me to judge.

I'm happy to do so because I so enjoy displays. They're so crafty! Thankfully, my mom will be with me so I will have her to lean on when I get dizzy (which I have alot here lately).

I'm sure it will be fun and I'm so looking forward to it. My sissy has worked her hiney off and I'm sure she'll sleep well when it's all over! God bless her sweet heart.

I'll post a little later today about the experience.

BTW, Mr. Moose's birthday is Sunday. I was born in October, he was born in November and our son will be born in December (we hope!). Kewlie, huh?

I hope everyone has a "spooky" Halloween!

Boo!

Update Time...FINALLY?

I've been away for a bit and I apologize.

I had another migraine Tuesday and usually the day of and day after I'm "hung over". Sorry I haven't posted in a bit. Mr. Moose was off Monday, so I had no computer time that day either. BUMMER!

Well, Baby Mooses's 4-D sonogram was a tremendous success. I couldn't have asked for a better session. We received 15 pics, a DVD and a CD with all the pics embedded on it. I cried like a baby. Mr. Moose was his usual Stoic self, but I think he was moved, too.

I know my Daddy was excited! He and my mom are so jazzed to meet their first grandson. It's such a beautiful thing. I am so glad we live nearby so Baby Moose can be a part of their lives and they a part of his, as well.

Monday, my parents and sissy/her hubby celebrated my b-day with me. The cards were great, the gifts were awesome, but having my loved ones around was the best gift of all. (Oh, and the Great American Cookie, too!) My sissy and her hubby got me a baby boy scrapbook and two parenting magazines. My parent's got me a glide rocker with an ottoman (like the one in the pic below:I loved ALL my loot!

Friday, Mr. Moose celebrated my birthday with me by getting me lilies (my favorite flower!), a peda-egg (which I desperately needed) and a Sarah McLaughlin CD (my favorite artist). The card he gave me was wonderful, too! He's such a great hubby/daddy. I can't wait for Baby Moose to get to know him!

My friend, Monica, came over Tuesday morning and gave me a card and a Halloween pin she'd made for me. It's a skeleton. I LOVE IT! I can't wait to wear it tomorrow and be all spooky for Halloween! She's so talented. I do love her so. Mr. Moose and I are having veggie chili at Casa da Ronish next weekend. I'm soooooooooooo looking forward to it.

Let's see, anything else?

OH! My sissy said my baby shower will be November 15th. I am registered at Wal-Mart and Burlington Baby Depot. I really should go register for some shoes for our son. He has 1 pair of shoes and tons of socks. Oh, bother!

Well, I guess that's the wonderful update. Hope you weren't too disappointed!

See ya later, alligators!

Migraine....again!

I had a migraine yesterday at about 12:30. I'll post a little more this afternoon or tomorrow. I'm a little "hangover" still.
Sorry!
